Automatic boom section control

The automatic boom section control is available with NOVATOP or NOVATOP VISIO regulation and DGPS system.

 

This system is able to switch on/off the section automatically in the headland or crossing area. Before using this system, it’s necessary to mark and memorize the field.

In practice in the field :

  • The user opens the main switch to spray at the beginning of the field. The landmark is already done, so sections or the entire boom switch on/off automatically.
  • Sections opening and closing are taken into account by the regulation.
    All the time, the user is the main pilot and is able to act directly on the switches.
  • Possibility to adjust the sections closing accuracy mainly in the crossing area: 0 or 50 to 100% coverage of the section.

In pratique in the cab :

  • This function is fully integrated into the NOVATOP or NOVATOP VISIO controller and requires no other connection.

User benefits :

    • Better attention and vigilance
    • Ergonomic → only one controller in the cab
    • Product economy →  a reduction in over sprayed areas are avoid (in function on the field, the economy is between 2 and 6%)
