TECNOMA'S POPULAR LASER SELF PROPELLED RANGE GROWS

TECNOMA recently launched a 5200 litre Laser self-propelled sprayer, which seems to dictate the way the market trend is going.  However the smaller scale farmer still needs to be catered for so whilst the competition are producing bigger machines, Tecnoma have also just launched their new 2500litre Laser. The main focus for Tecnoma is still Performance, Precision, Power, Comfort and Ergonomics from its well proven chassis and spraying systems.  

The 180hp power is supplied by a Tier III DEUTZ 6 cylinder engine with the all new transmission utilising REXROTH BOSCH 90cm³ variable displacement pumps.  This gives the new LASER 2540 three on-the-go changeable speed ranges of 0-15, 0-22 and 0-40km/h which are all fully progressive and can be controlled from the joystick or the new automotive foot pedal, greatly reducing fuel consumption and improving operator comfort both on the road and in the field.  The AXAIR air suspension system constantly compensates for undulating land to keep the boom riding smoothly over the crop reducing operator fatigue, increasing productivity and, if conditions allow, the speed of application.  When in transport AXAIR smoothly rides the tracks and roads to increase the longevity of all the steel work as most sprayer damage can be caused by the constant banging of steel from poor suspension systems.  AXAIR totally eliminates this potential problem.  The manual track adjustment, as standard, is from 1.80m to 2.25m and has an excellent ground clearance of 1.10m. 4 wheel-steer, crab steer and hill side compensation modes are all standard on this new model.  

The new LASER comfort cab, as with all other models, comes as standard with climate controlled air-conditioning, MP3 compatible Bluetooth radio, 2 electric heated mirrors, 8 working lights (6 front, 2 rear), swivelling air suspended comfort seat for the driver, refrigerated storage compartment, adjustable and ergonomic arm rest with centralised controls for ease of use and 360⁰ degree vision due to the mid mount position. The NOVATEC spray controller gives the operator full control of all spraying functions at the touch of a button or the use of the multi function joystick providing sequential control to the spray sections, main on/off and all hydraulic boom controls.  As an option the new LASER 2540 can be fitted with Tecnoma’s NOVATOP which is a fully ISOBUS 11783 and GPS controller in one, incorporating the auto section control, auto boom levelling and auto steer into the box unlike many other manufacturers who have retro fitted kits.  The NOVATOP can be upgraded again to a VISIO version which gives the controller a bigger 10" screen.  

The new LASER 2540 is fitted with LVS steel booms up to 32m. All the booms are suspended by the hydraulically dampened parallelogram system.  Operation of the spray controls is via two unique multi-way valves, one for pressure and one for suction.  A hydraulically folding induction hopper is also standard with optional NOVAFLOW auto filling and the award winning Autonet self-contained tank rinsing system which has its own dedicated clean water 70l/min pump.
