The Paint / Preparation process
…Or how to ensure the machine longevity against chemical attacks. A painting process under high surveillance with permanent tests such as salt fog testing.
The steel parts painting processes is based on different stages.
- Shotblasting: A cleaning de scaling process incorporating steel shot in an enclosed booth
- First painting booth: Epoxy primer liquid paint is applied the aim is to protect the steel parts from corrosion and aggressive materials.
- Second painting booth: An electrostatic polyester powder is sprayed through the part.
For the very difficult and complex accesses, an operator manually uses a powder gun to ensure a complete coverage.
- Passage in the oven: The powder becomes liquid and cooks at 240°C
- Exit of the oven: Ultrason and quality control to check the good coverage of the part.
