In 1959, a revolutionary sprayer was launched during the SIMA show in Paris:
  • Use of synthetic resincouplings instead of brass
  • Use of polyester tank
  • Piston-diaphragm pump invention
In 1966, first external growth, TECNOMA takes over sprayer companies and develops its export department.
A new factory was built in the aim to follow this development
 
In 1975, TECNOMA launched a brand new knapsack sprayer range made with injected plastic.
 
In 1980, Patrick BALLU became the managing director after his father. In 5 years, 8.3 millions of Euros were invested in the factory.
 
In 1986, TECNOMA changed its marketing strategy and the new green range was born.
Important investments have allowed modernizing the factory.
 
In 1987, Patrick BALLU, TECNOMA owner and also managing director, created EXEL Industries.
EXEL Industries is the world-class specialist in precision spraying for agriculture (n°1 in the world), industry (n°3 in the world) and consumers (n°1 in Europe). EXEL Industries employs around 2600 people in 23 countries on 5 continents.
